Privacy and Procedural Issues: Roommates

Ross Gentry discussed MY rent in the presence of my roommate. So not cool. MY name is on the lease, not hers.

WHAT kind of professional does that? He came around with the rent raise notice, I opened the door to get it. He walked right in and talked too much.

I understand and already KNEW the info. I don’t live in a cave. STOP treating me like a child.

FYI: most ppl with room-mates have a business agreement. Most of us never divulge rent cost to anyone. Sharing that info causes problems.

MY name is on the lease. I am the only one who needs to know certain things.

Refrain from ever discussing what I pay for rent with anyone unless legally mandated.

Maintenance is a different issue. It’s easier for Julie to deal directly with you on some issues. We always discuss maintenance issues for inside the apt. For outside, I often don’t burden her with it.

I reduced the rent greatly when she moved in. I’ve had offers to pay more when/if she moves out. I know people need verifiable income, good credit and must be approved. I’ll cross that bridge when it comes.
