Office: Not Allowed To Contact

I wanted the office, Roberts Companies aka RHB,  to know what was going on. So we are not allowed to exercise our right to document events here?

I have not called the office in eons. When are the 5 outdoor lights being replaced? Top of the stairs by 21 has been out for weeks, as have many others.

It is my legal right to document maintenance issues.

I didn’t use the word “call” in my email below, I used “contact”; and that’s precisely what you just did when you emailed the director of the maintenance dept. So your response about not calling is disingenuous nonsense. Did he respond? I seriously doubt it. And why didn’t you cc me?

Do you think I wouldn’t find out about you contacting the office about a minor gardening issue. And no one is clear, including the gardener about what sidewalk you’re referring to.* How do you think maintenance dept admin personnel can evaluate any issue here…since they’re unlikely to come over here & take a look.

[NO idea what sidewalk Ross mentioned. Does he have me mixed up with someone else? I am VERY precise about locations and descriptions. I also take photos.  I can’t recall why the sidewalk would be an issue. This isn’t about his bullying me re resurfacing.]

Also, I know courtyard lights are burned out. I just received replacement bulbs THIS MORNING and they’ll be installed as soon as I can get to it; and if that isn’t soon enough perhaps you should call the office and request someone to come over here to do that work.

Yes, you certainly may document maintenance issues…to me; contacting the office does not necessarily document maintenance issues. But that’s not what this is about and you know it. I live here so I’m easy to contact; you obviously have my email and therefore can produce a copy of your “documentation” should anyone inquire.

Frankly, by going around me to the office, you’re just meddling in routine operational matters that are my direct responsibility, just as you’ve done with other maintenance personnel in the past. And by the way, this property’s grounds are in excellent condition.

[All those burned out bulbs? It was DARK coming up the stairs.]
