Noise Downstairs? We Said No. He said Yes.

Loud Laughter. A reason to be harassed and chastised? Loud Laughter?

Imagine being asked if you hear noise. Despite the fact I (and others) reported noise for years, which always fell on deaf ears. Now that the noise bothers Ross, he wrote us for verification.

HOW many times did he write, in such detail, insisting on HIS outcome? Reading this, does he come across rather impatient and insistent? Demanding. Petulant. Bullying. Harassing us to comply with what HE wants us to write.

My roommate Julie and I discussed this. We never heard it.

We each wrote NO. Ross takes that to be a Yes.

Why did he bother us, if he knew the outcome? Fair and impartial. Not.

“It’s a tenant’s responsibility to notify us about issues in their unit. It’s really none if your business what occurs in another unit unless you’re aware of a dire energency.”

[WHY did he write my roommate and I, asking about NOISE downstairs? NOT an issue in our apt. HE wanted US to LIE to substantiate his complaint. He tells us to answer “yes.” Not yes or no.]

How can he guarantee we won’t get ‘any blowback’? What kind of protection is he offering us? None. Never.

He does not care about noise which is disturbing others. ONLY what disturbs him. Otherwise, that chirping, squeaking probably defective smoke detector or whatever is chirping every 30 or so seconds would be fixed.

Just found reference to #8, but three (3) years earlier. Playing loud music around 2 am. Ross never got back to me. They were still noisy at times.

Plus #19. He doesn’t see nor hear it. Judy Smith #21, Maria and family, #9, downstairs under #19, and I, #18. My bed is next to their kitchen. Thin wall.

Kept up late cos of #19. He always throws his hands up in the air. Says not much he can do about it. Maybe drop them a note. I gave up and stay up. So much for OUTRAGEOUS NOISE.

If Ross doesn’t hear it, it doesn’t exist. IF he hears it, you are his hit list.

Hi Jenny & Julie,

Please let me know if the subject annoys & disturbs you & Julie; a simple “yes” will suffice.

[He’s TELLING us what to say: Yes. How would you feel if you were in our shoes?]

Your March rent check was properly written.

I’m in back room. Don’t hear #8 in front.

Thank you, glad I wrote correct year.
